If you are one of the brothers and sisters of the Hebrew nation and you have not yet visited your homeland Israel yet, then I recommend to you to get off of your ass and stop making excuses and get yourself over there. There are so many more positive reasons to go there than there are reasons not to go. If you have been to Israel already,well then these photos of Israeli army hotties will hopefully bring to you some fond memories, and hopefully provide you with a reason to go back.

The moment you arrive to the State of Israel, either at the airport or at a terminal, one of the first things that you will certainly notice is the amount of people there are in uniform, doing functions of one sort or another. What will certainly stand out from the many uniformed Israeli personnel, will be the raw, sexy beauty of the young Israeli women in those uniforms. Wherever you go in Israel, you will see what I call, Israeli Army hotties.

If you are a fan of Israeli women and of Jewish women and surf then you must have come across the photographic work of Rachel Papo. Rachel is an Israeli who was born in 1970 in America, but was raised in Israel. According to her bio, “she began photographing as a teenager and attended a renowned fine-arts high-school in Haifa, Israel. At age eighteen she served in the Israeli Air Force as a photographer.” Her reasons for her photo series was because “These two intensive years of service inspired her current photographic project titled after her own number during service — Serial No. 3817131.”

She earned a BFA in Fine Arts from Ohio State University in Columbus (1991-96), and an MFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York City (2002-05). She began photographing Israeli female soldiers in the summer of 2004 as part of her masters thesis project. She continues to photograph in both Israel and New York, pursuing fine art photography and accepting commissioned projects. Her photographs are included in several public and private collections. She currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.

In this feature I am going to introduce you to another Judaen exile making his musical mark on the planet who hails from the West Coast of the United States of America. I stumbled upon his music on Myspace a few years ago and have I have followed his career since and today I am happy to be able to introduce him and his arts to you.

MC Arson Wells

JM: Who are the Jews in your family? Both Mother and Father Jewish?

I get my Jewish Heritage from my Father’s side of the family. All of my family on his side are of Jewish Descent.

JM: Any interesting Jewish family? Interesting lineage?

My Great Grandfather was a Russian Jewish who came to the US when the Czar was kicking Jews out of Russia. The story of Fiddler on the Roof is a lot like what happened in my family. My Great Grandfather made the Journey to the US on a freshly painted cattle boat. The fumes were very toxic and everyone was sick the entire trip from what I understand. He actually was traveling through the woods to stay off the main roads because he was with another family who had a sick child that was crying and they didn’t want to be caught. They missed the first boat because of the detour. Thank God they missed it because the first boat sank and everyone on it drowned. I wouldn’t exist if it were not for that detour.

JM: How do you define yourself? A rapper? A hip hop artist? Producer?

JM: Where did your “name” come from?

I used to just go by the name Arson or the Unknown Arsonist. I was signed to a local independent label along with an artist RicaSShay. One day he said “yo you should go by the name Arson Wells” an ever since then that shit just stuck with me.

JM: Are you signed to any labels?

I am independent/unsigned right now.

JM: How many CD’S/Albums have you released so far?

I am just about to finally release my debut project “ The Trials and Tribulations of Arson Wells ”

JM: Who were your biggest musical influences when you started?

Geto Boys, Ice-T, N.W.A., Above The Law, EPMD, Organized Konfusion, Digital Underground, Public Enemy, 2Pac, KRS-One & LL Cool J. That was my era. To me it won’t ever get better than that.

JM: Whose music influences you today?

Local San Diego Artists who bring heat time and time again and are still under estimated in the Hip-Hop world.

JM: Where did you grow up, where were you raised and where is home for you?

I was born in Southern Oregon and then moved to South San Diego California. Both of these places I will always consider home. I’ve got a lot of homeboys that live in both places that I got a lot of love and respect for.

JM: Is Tupac really alive?

NO. When you get blasted there ain’t no coming back.

JM: Whose music rubs you the wrong way?

I can’t stand most of the rap music that comes out today. I won’t even call it Hip-Hop because that shit is dying. I can’t stand the D4L’s and all that other glitter and glam cornball bullshit you hear on the radio. That shit makes me sick. They have destroyed something I have cherished and loved since I was 12 years old and made a mockery of it. Real Hip-Hop is found in the streets and neighborhoods and underground clubs. The airwaves are filled with the same commercial bullshit. “It’s the Ice age and nobody realize what they doing to Hip-Hop’s gonna make it die”

JM: How did you get to where you are now? What were the big breaks and events?

I’ve been writing rhymes and rappin since I was like 12. I been in a few different crews; the shit always falls apart do to one thing or another whether it’s jealousy, lack of commitment, money, etc. That’s why I’ve realized it’s all about me now. I’ve wasted so much time Fucking around, waiting for other cats to fulfill they part of the bargain and do they thing, and to come with there part of the money to put out projects and this and that, I’m just over it. I been making chips on the streets for years, so I guess I got no one to blame but myself. I could’ve been put my shit out a long time ago, I just keep getting caught up in another hustle, and another hustle. You know. My album is 11 songs done right now. I only need like 4 or 5 more joints to finish up and I got popped with a case. Now I’m f acing two felonies and the pigs got my ass for like 14 g’s. Its all good though, I’m trying to beat they bullshit case, I got me a dope lawyer on the mix so I’m crossin my fingers. But listen to my music, its real life shit. What I say in my music is real talk. I do what I say in my rhymes and that’s just the game we play in.

JM: Has there been anyone who has mentored or really helped you along the way?

There have been a few cats, but I won’t mention names because I did a lot for these cats to and in the end they all just snakes in the grass. Backbiters and backstabbers.

JM: When did you first start getting into the performance side of music?

Around 2000

JM: Who do you hang out with, anyone noteworthy?

Mostly my patna RicaSShay and Ceke Blanko from Bike Choke Family. Also my Engineer Steelz.

JM: What song has had the biggest impact on you personally?

Geto Boys- My Minds Playin Tricks On Me

JM: What do you write about in your songs?

I write about the hood, my hood and what I’ve seen coming up, hustling, revolution, anti-government, anti-police hardcore money motivating HIP-HOP!

JM: What bothers you about the music business?

It’s so commercial and nobody buys records anymore. Everything can be downloaded. Fuck it, I do it to. Shhhhhhhhhh…….you gotta love this shit to still do it

JM: How has being a Jew or in other less popular words, has having Jewish blood in your veins made a difference in your life?

It’s shaped who I am as a person. Once people find out you’re a Jew they can act like it doesn’t bother them, but I think deep down inside most of them they have a astigmatism about our people. The negative stereotypes, which are utter bullshit, always come up so whenever you have a run in with someone they are quick to bring up your heritage. Right off the bat “the stingy or greedy Jew muthafucker did it”. People start trying to throw the same old shots like “your people killed Christ” as well as a long list of other derogatory bullshit. I always know that no matter what the only people that will ever understand our people is our people.

JM: Is being a Jew important to you? Please explain.

Like I said it defines who I am as a person. We as Jewish people all know who we are and what is expected of us. The Torah is set in stone. Whether we choose to follow it or how strict we follow its laws are our decisions. I wouldn’t say I am the best example of a practicing Jew, but I try to my best and keep my head up while living in this dog eat dog world we reside in.

JM: Is there anything today about Judaism and the Jewish world that really affects you or really bugs you?

The thing that bothers me the most is all the end fighting between our people. No matter what synagogue you go to or what sect of Judaism you follow, you’re still Jewish. That means represent your people to the fullest no matter what. We all came from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; Period…end of story.

JM: What do you do for beats?

I work with a few different local producers as well as a producer in New York for my beats.

JM: Do you play any instruments?

My voice.

JM: What is your favorite city?

Sunny San Diego California

JM: Have you been to Israel?

Unfortunately no. I am going no matter what within the next couple years. If your Jewish, you have to make that excursion sometime in your life. It’s just a necessity.

JM: Do you know what tribe you are from? Levi, Judah?

My Grandfather told me we were from the tribe of Levi.

JM: Do you pay attention to what is going on with Israel?

Yes. It’s a shame to see all of the fighting over OUR land. Things seem to only be escalating. It has been this way since Israel was declared a nation. Right away here comes Egyptian fighter planes trying to bomb us. Then it was Syria I believe. We are surrounded by the Enemy. All we want is our land. The whole Middle East is filled with Islamic countries. We deserve our place. Israel will always need freedom fighters to stand up and represent the Jewish people like David Ben-Gurion and Simon Weisenthal. If you’re a Jew be proud of it. Stand up and speak up for your people no matter what criticism you’ll get.

JM: What’s coming up for you?

I’m coming close to dropping my album “ The Trials & Tribulations of Arson Wells”

I just came out on DJ Green Lantern’s newest mix-tape “Myspace Invasion 3” as well as having 2 features on RicaSShay’s album Enough is Enough. Which just dropped this month. I am also featured on the new Proof of Life mixtape coming out later this year

JM: What’s your favorite piece of musical equipment?

I like stringed instruments. If used right over a hard drum track you can make a banging ass beat.

JM: Any tours and if so, with who and where are you touring?

Everyone on the Proof of Life mix-tape will be going on a West Coast tour to promote the album and radio station. Proof of Life radio can be heard Wednesday nights between 9-11 PM Pacific Time at the following address: proof-of-life.net/radio

JM: Which one of your songs do you like the most and why?

Man I have a lot of favorites. It’s hard to tell which one I like the most. It changes every time I do a new song that becomes my favorite until I top that with something even better.

JM: How do you feel about the state of the world, life and shit?

I think the state of the world is fucked up. The Middle East keeps getting worse and worse. As for my neighborhood muthafuckas is broke, starving, strung out and shit. Cops stay harassing me and my boys. It’s like every week another one of my boys gets locked up, or catches another case; including myself. We wouldn’t be out there on the street doing what we do if we had better ways to feed our kids and shit. We all just stay hoping that this music grind pays off in the end and we don’t have to put our lives in jeopardy no more. The economy’s all fucked. Everyone losing there houses and shit. Unemployment’s at an all time high. When cats can’t get a job what the fuck do they do to get dough….rob, steal, sell drugs, whatever the fuck. That’s just life.

JM: Have you been in the media yet, and if so, how so?

I’ve had small little spots in magazines hear and there. Getting a little pub from time to time. Nothing to major. I’ve been on local television a couple times. I get a lot of love on the Internet. I have met a lot of contacts by having writes up and features on different sites out there. This year I just barely stepped my myspace game up. One of my boys was trying to get me on that shit for a couple years. I wasn’t trying to hear it. To caught up in the day-to-day struggle to be dealing with games and shit; but then I opened my mind and just started politickin and have gotten a lot of love and response from the myspace joint as well. www.myspace.com/arsonwellsmusic

JM: Are you a spiritual or religious person?

I would not say that I’m religious by any means. Religion is just another way for organized groups to try and control people and brainwash them into their way of thinking. As for being spiritual; definitely. Life would seem hopeless if I didn’t have faith that Elohim was watching over me. I see so much negativity all around me that I have to go to synagogue just to release some of the pressure and get some of the pain off my chest. It’s a good counterbalance to the rest of the world that eats away at your soul on a daily basis. I try to observe the high holidays, eat kosher, and live righteously as much as possible. It’s just hard when you live in Babylon society.

In our holy Torah, in sefer Leviticus (Vayikra) 19:28, it is explicitly written that Jews are not allowed tattoos. Why tattoos are forbidden to Jews exactly is not explained anywhere else in the Torah but the topic is elaborated on in numerous locations in the Talmud, which only compound the gravity of violating this prohibition.

The Levitical prohibition is a non-sensical prohibition in the sense that we do not know why the Creator forbid us from getting tattoos because it is not explained explicitly like in the cases of other laws mentioned. We are able to deduce notions as to the Creator’s reasons, such as that it is an abomination or that it is what the Canaanite nations did in those Biblical times and we had to be different from them, but we do not have a specific, simple explanation. In leu of this law’s simplicity, it is completely fair and proper to deduce and to state that tattoos are utterly and completely not Jewish, or Judaic or Hebraic in any sense or capacity based on the ultimate Jewish source, the Torah.

There have been a few instances in Jewish history and culture that we know of when multitudes of Judaeans were tattooed in such numbers as they are today, but in stark contrast to today’s phenomenon which is by choice, every other time in Jewish history, Judaeans were forcefully tattooed en masse by Gentiles as sign of shame and a marking of a slave or as a prisoner of war or of a concentration camp. What the Austrians and the Germans did in World War II, was not the first time that Judaeans were hunted down, murdered or gathered up brutally, chained up and shipped off as captives or slaves, and then eventually tattooed. The Romans tattooed designations onto slaves, gladiators and soldiers [1] as a matter of regular practice in the Roman Empire until until around 325 CE, and when Judaea was wiped off of the map by Vespasian and Titus in 135 CE., hundreds of thousands of our great-great-great-X50 grand parents were led off by the Romans in chains into slavery and tattooed with markings to identify the Judaean slaves from the non-Judaean slaves for a Judaean slave was only worth a horse in value.

For the last two thousand years, the tattoo has been universally recognized as a sign of shame to the Tribes of Israel and for thousands of years a symbol of everything that is vapid, corrupt and finite about the Gentile world. In sharp contrast to our past, today we have tens of thousands of Jews around the world getting tattooed with every kind of image under the sun for every reason under the sun and the irony is that so many of them are getting tattoos of Jewish pride style imagery and of Biblical verses, it is simply astounding. This change in behavior and mentality all happened in a span of less than one hundred years.

The people of the book have become the people of the tattoo flash book.

Jews have assimilated so much into the Gentile world in the last couple of century that the origins of modern, electric tattooing has a Jew by the name of Lew Alberts to thank for it’s evolution and it’s course, ironically. Lew was directly responsible for introducing a wealth of new types of tattoo designs into the variety of tattoo styles and designs that were available such as the black panther for example, at the turn of the century.

Miami Ink

Today on television we see another Jew involved in the tattooing world helping shape it, and his name is Ami James, who is the star of his own hit reality TV series called Miami Ink. When the Miami Ink television show was first aired it became an instant and total success across the world. It was one of TLC’s most highly watched shows attracting between 5-6 million viewers a week and continues to air in syndication worldwide. TLC also capitalized on the success of the show with a Miami Ink Clothing Line and many lucrative licensing deals.

Ami immediately comes across as a pushy, edgy tough guy with a short fuse of a temper and if he didn’t mention that he was Jewish or Israeli, you’d probably never know it based on anything that you see. Ami is a very good artist, a very good tattoo artist and he has a head for business as well which is rare among artists. He wears no visible Chais around his neck, he has no magen davids tattooed on his elbows, he does not have an overt Yiddish or Hebrew accent, and his mannerisms belay nothing Judaic or Israeli. In other words he looks like a Goy, acts like a Goy, but since his mother is Jewish, he’s a Jew, but you’d never know it using the “You Look Jewish Test.” But don’t immediately assume that just because he seems so sanitized of his Jewishness or his Israeliness on the TV show that he is not proud to be a Jew or to be Israeli, because he is in his own way. Since actions speak louder than words, Ami already has proven his care for Am Yisrael, when Ami was eighteen he left America and joined the IDF when he did not have too, where he trained and served as a fighter, putting his life on the line to defend Jews in the Jewish State.

Is Ami James a Jew or an Israel to admire? That is for you to decide.

Why be Jewish?

One of the reasons why so many members of the tribes aka Jews, do not bother to observe anything Judaic whatsoever today is because the Judaism that Orthodox Jews keep today and insist that all Jews must live by is in fact mostly man-made, rabbinically decreed laws, traditions and customs enacted in the last two thousand years of exile, and not from the Tanach literally. Wearing a head covering is not a Biblical commandment and yet today it is integral to being a pious Jew,this is just one example of many. The Judaic Biblical holiness that we read about in the Tanach that may have been given to us by the Creator at Mt Sinai, it seems has been buried almost to death by rabbinical takanot and historical circumstances and replaced with the Talmud, the Shulchan Aruch and The Rebbe’s writings.

On the other side of the spectrum, the act of humans picking and choosing which parts of the Tanach that they like and throwing out the ones that they do not and then calling that Judaism, as is the case with Reform, Conservative, Egalitarian sects of the Jewish world, is so absurdly fraudulent that it is embarrassing and shameful. Many Jews have seen this fraud their entire lives and as a result of it’s repugnance, they fled and have assimilated to become media moguls and famous artists and actors. In fact, most of Reform Judaism’s clergy do not believe in a Creator and do not believe that most events in the Tanach actually really and truly transpired, however they have no problem taking your parents money and your money to teach you and your children about …Judaism.

The religion of science, rational thought and institutional cynicism is more appealing to many Jews than Torah is because science provides answers or a means to come to an answer, whereas the Torah is a book of fairy tales in comparison. Evolution is a indisputable paradigm and Creation is an unproven, theoretical fairy tale still, dinosaurs are found in all of the World’s museums, but only one archaeological piece of evidence, The Moabite Stone, exists confirming the existence of a Jewish king named David that built the first Temple.

However despite science’s value, every Jew knows that s/he has a soul, and that the soul is not a scientific or quantifiable thing. Our emotions and passion and compassion are special things outside of the realm of probes and sensors and experiments. The soul or our life force somehow interacts outside of the human realm. It is our Jewish soul which tells us that we are indeed a part of something bigger and greater than ourselves, that their is something more to life and to existence than than just science, Yahweh?

So how does one live like a Jew then?

The answer to that question is without a doubt found in the pages of the Tanach especially in the book of Leviticus (Vayikra). However one of the first things that you may discover to your complete surprise is that most of the customs and culture that truly define Judaism and what a Jew is supposed to do and when s/he is supposed to do it, are predicated on the existence of the Jewish Temple (Beit HaMiqdash) in Jerusalem, which has not existed for almost two thousand years as a matter of fact. It gets even more complicated by the fact that the place where the Temple (Beit HaMiqdash) is supposed to stand is occupied by a Muslim Mosque today. The Jewish Temple (Beit HaMiqdash) is integral to Judaism and being Jewish, and yet sadly today most Jews believe that the Western Wall is our holiest place, but have never heard of the (Beit HaMiqdash).

So once again the question is:, how does someone live like a Jew without the existence of the Temple?

Keep the Sabbath as a day of rest is a great place for everyone to start but also begin learning about the Temple (Beit HaMiqdash) and what it’s purpose is.

Santa Claus being arrested and taken to the security center.

At 2:23 am Israeli time, Israeli Air Force anti-aircraft forces in the north of the country, equipped with the United States’ new X-Band radar detected a high flying, fast moving object of concern flying from east to west. Fearing a Iranian ICBM attack, Israeli anti-aircraft missiles initiated and converged onto the target and successfully struck it.

Witnesses on Kibbutz Shelbogedeem located near the incident told JM reporters, “There was a loud explosion followed by many little pops. I looked outside my window and to my amazement I saw millions of falling colorful boxes on fire falling, stuffed rabbits flaming and charred Transformers twirling and burning deer carcases landing everywhere. It was horrifying. I covered my children’s eyes.” Resident of the area Moshe Shvur-Shmekel told JM: “I saw everything. It was like the fourth of July in America. Colorful explosions and falling stars everywhere. The pilot parachuted down in a beautiful green and red parachute with those colorful lights the goyim put on their Christmas bushes things on the fringes of the parachute.”

At 3:48pm, Israeli security forces apprehended the pilot, dressed in a felt and velvet, red and white military uniform, and took him to the security station for questioning. Upon questioning it was determined that IAF forces shot down Santa Claus, who according to anonymous security sources, was on his warm up run before the big night. Israeli forces credit the New America X-Band radar for tracking Santa.

Prime Minister Netanyahu announced in a press conference this morning that the IAF shot down Santa’s sleigh, but that he sustained no injuries in the incident, however all of the reindeer did die in the incident. Santa will be fined $10,000 dollars and have to sit in jail for the next few days for violating Israel airspace and for tax evasion.
