Igal’s History

Igal Hecht was born and raised in the city of Ashkleon, Israel before moving to Canada at the age of 11. He has been living in Canada for 18 years and is a graduate of Seneca College School of Communication Arts, where he now works as a part time professor. Igal currently works as senior producer for bpm: TV, Canadas Dance and Electronic music station. In 1999 Hecht created Chutzpa Productions to create films about Judaism, Israel and the on-going tensions in the Middle East. Hecht has explored all these elements in various fictional and non-fictional films.
