HEEB magazine editors Joshua Neuman and David Deutch published a book together not too long ago called The big book of Jewish Conspiracies. To market and promote it they shamelessly utilized HEEB magazine’s marketing might on the internet and off it, and held launch parties in numerous cities across North America. With a name like The big book of Jewish conspiracies, Jewish Mayhem could not help but contact one of it’s authors, Josh Neuman the Senior Editor of HEEB magazine and ask him about it so we met Josh Neuman at his Book’s Toronto launch party. It was a packed house thanks to Randi Bergman and Elayne Laken, and there the mayhem and the HEEB exchanged some conspiracies, smoked some BC bud, drank cheap Canadian beer and then he provided us copies to review and to give away in a contest.
Josh Neuman, HEEB magazine’s editor with Joshua Andrews Jewish Mayhem’s Publisher at Josh Neuman’s book launch, and some guy in the back who tagged along with Josh…we should call Josh up and ask him who that guy is? If he hadn’t provided us complimentary copies, we would have gone out and bought a copy out of pure interest in any case. After devouring the book in one sitting, we found that the book is an easy and quick read. It is witty and humorous satire on anti-semitism and Jew-hatred and to it’s credit earned the consternation of the ADL. David Deutsch and Josh Neuman take historical events and with tongue in cheek style and expose the ludicrousness of the many age old and contemporary canards against Jews. The footnotes can be excessive for some but we recommend it to anyone in need of lots of laughs, Jewish or not, the seriousness of the actual subject notwithstanding.
